Not only in graphic designing, but in each and every type of designing the creativity level of designer should be very high. Creativity is only thing which differentiates a designer from a normal person. Making something new out of regular old things can only be done with a highly creative mind.
Yeah this is true that if you are not creative the you cannot be a designer but on other hand it is not true that you cannot improve your creativity level.
Thinking and thinking and thinking and thinking and doing it again and again and again. This is the easiest and simplest way to improve the creativity level. This increases the visualization power of mind which indirectly generates the new ideas.
A strong visualization power can be gained by looking everything with too much different angles. A normal person uses to see the thing as it comes but designer uses to observe each thing deeply and uses to demonstrate in his mind with every other angle possible. This give birth to a new creativity in his mind.
